Sister Allison Dittmer: July 2023

This last pday me and my companion helped some members move into the ward from Alabama! This year has apparently been more humid then other years, but oh man it feels like I'm breathing in water. But we were also able to go over to a members home where she taught us how to make pupusas and handmade tortillas!! Absolutely delicious!

But these last couple weeks I have seen so many miracles and how perfect God's timing is.

This last week me and my companion went to have a lesson with someone who was interested and he forgot so he wasn't home. But we decided to walk to the next lesson which was maybe half a mile away from where we were. It was a solid 91⁰ and HUMID. but we said, let's walk. We start walking and it's hot, like real hot and we walk by this house my comp wants to knock on so we do. And opens up sweet old Jessie. She lectured us for an hour about not walking around in the heat and she is so service oriented, it's incredible! She didn't let us leave without our cracker/cookies and peppermints and some water. But she was so sweet and so fun to talk to.

After we left Jessie's house we started walking down the street and there was someone walking on the sidewalk a little ahead of us. We wanted to talk to him and walked a little faster to catch up to him. It ended up being our friend, Jorge, we had taught about a month ago!! He lives out of area so we hadn't been teaching him. But he had been walking for 2 hours to be on that street! 2 hours! He was walking to visit a friend of his. But it was amazing how if we didn't stop by Jessie we wouldn't have seen our friend Jorge. God is amazing!!

Today I was taught why it is so important to ask Heavenly Father for the help that we need. There is power in asking. He knows what we need and he strives and desires to give us these blessings and miracles, he can only do so if we ask Him, in faith. Because I feel like sometimes we pray and we think God knows what blessings we need, the things we are grateful for and its time to go to bed and we are so exhasted by the day and ready to sleep. So we just say you know what I need. But as we ask for the specific desires of our souls, God will bless you with miracles!

Jesus Christ ministered to the people in Jerusalem for 3 years before they rejected Him and crucified Him. His name has influenced everyone on earth from before he was born until today. His name and His ministry has changed the lives of billions of people in the world. Changing their hearts, their minds, their souls to the goodness of Christ's message. Jesus Christ came here to suffer for our sins, He is our perfect example, our brother, our redeemer. It is through Him we are able to live with our father in heaven again. He is the way and the light. I am and will be eternally grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ.

There is a little boy names chuckie that has esencially a really long bob with bangs. At Church today he had this really big wind up car that has this cord that is attached to it, like a phone charger, and he was walking up and down the pews and in front of the podium during sacrament meeting holding onto just this cord. Okay he wasn't just walking he was walking with PURPOSE with a strut.

The dad came and grabbed him.

Also just had a lesson with 20+ people. So crazy, we went to visit Cythina and her baby daddy(don't know relationship between them) and her baby, obvi. We came over when they said they'd be free. We walk into an apartment with 20+ people, kids running around everywhere, adult having beers and laughing. And they let us in and we're like

"We're here to talk about Jesus and God!"

then this one guy yells to everyone "raise your hand if you want to talk about god"

Nobody says anything. and I raise my hand and say "I do!" People laugh

But we just started teaching this rowdy crowd for about 20 minutes or so. they love Jesus and believe in him. They were all rowdy in the beginning but by the end they were all listening to us, which was really amazing to see.

I mean I'm sure they laughed about us after we left but it was a really cool experience to see their faith in Jesus Christ.
