We have members who have houses on the lake and it's gorgeous!! One family took us to their dock and it was stunning, would reccomend getting some friends that live there.
A brother told us that 'Gethsemane' translates to 'wine olive press'. They used their olive press to make olive oil. They also made wine back then by stepping on grapes and the juice would pour out, but they had the extra skins and seeds that were very bitter. With the skins and seeds they would put it into the olive press and it would make vinegar, which is super bitter, the most bitter parts of the grape. So Gethsemane symbolizes Jesus christ suffering and drinking from the bitter cup. How beautiful is that analogy?!

I have been studying about patriarchal blessings this week and why they are so important for us. They are personal revelation from our loving Heavenly Father who wants to provide us every opportunity to live with Him again. He has given us the opportunity to have personal scripture guiding our lives here on earth. It is a personal treasure, a shield and protection to us. Our patriarchal blessings are an outline of what could happen in our eternal destinies as we are faithful and follow God's plan for us.
It tells us our eternal lineage and that puts us in a tribe in the House of Israel. We learn of specific blessings given to each tribe in the scriptures and what their personal destinies are.
I want to invite you to truly study your patriarchal blessing this week, and if you have not received your personal patriarchal blessing, ponder about if this is the time to obtain yours.
how you could study your patriarchal blessing:
1. Pray, with a question in mind
2. Find something that stands out to you
3. Make an action item from this
4. Pray and thank Heavenly Father
5. Follow up with your action item!
